Fine, Joy, Fine … My Tumblr Crushes, then (and I can explain):
Whisperedverse: made the n00b mistake a couple nights ago of posting a metric shit-ton of old work at once because he wanted it “on this blog” (not necessarily a direct quote), thereby flooding dashes far and wide and placing this writer in a quandary: how can one not “like” something one previously liked when it was posted on another blog? Never fear: I introduced him to this new “queue” concept and saved us all.
Franticallylost: Jack writes beautiful poetry, and also he has a book out, which I reviewed – if reviewing is something you can do before you’ve read something. In other news, someone should buy me Jack’s book for my birthday. That would be awesome.
The-earth-did-not-devour-him: But the hyphens did. Corey is a cute boy who writes poetry. And other things. I wrote a fairy tale for him once, and I don’t write fairy tales for just anybody.
Creativecloud: Cole is the new Lead Prose Editor of A Literation and also a wonderful writer, so this is actually pretty self-explanatory and I don’t know why I’m going on like this.
Ordinarywonder: Noelle is my ex-Lead Prose Editor, but I love her no less. She has spread her wings and flown on to her own projects, and I’m excited to see the results. Don’t let the URL fool ya – there is absolutely nothing ordinary at all about this woman.
Lessons-in-morbidity: I may be wrong, but I think this might be Sunny’s first appearance on my crush list, despite the fact that I’ve been following her for like 500 internet years. Her poetry has a way of slicing straight through all that extraneous shit and lodging itself in the depth of your gut. I mean that as a compliment.
Aliteration.com: I’m the dodgy Editor-in-Chief of this humble publication, so if you have any problem with it you probably have a problem with me. If you bring it to my attention I might address it three weeks from now.
Scratchedlines: One of my favorites on my dash right now to be honest. I was actually tempted to unfollow only because I was being exposed to great work that made me follow more people and I already follow too many people so that’s kind of a stressful thing. Also, we had a conversation about CLE’s, which are also a stressful thing that I fortunately don’t have to deal with anymore.
Elzaro: A relatively new follow (compared to the others), but I’m really enjoying his work. He has a spoken word post (if not two? I think just one. Sorry I’m too lazy to check) that you should check out. He’s practicing and would appreciate your feedback.
